I
applied for free webspace quite a few times with Cybercites over the
last few months & I only just received my confirmation email
(about 2 months later). They say they personally review each
application and that's why it takes so long. If you're in no
hurry to start your website, then perhaps you should give them a go.
I believe however that nowadays "unlimited space" is
actually only 25 Mb - so if that's the case, then it's a little
misleading. |

have my site with Spree and I've found them generally OK.
However, I would prefer it if they had FTP access and not so many
pop-up windows. Generally though they are a good alternative,
especially if you have a business-related site. |

I've
heard varying reports about Xoom's service. Recently they have
added some sort of advertisement menu bar that appears on member pages
and is receiving mixed responses. Members are complaining that
this bar tends to make all pages look the same and that visitors are
inclined to click on the bar before seeing what's on the members'
pages. |
